new federal regulations

Here’s a nice overview of the changes that will go into effect regarding falconry. Among the changes: States and Tribes will have oversight in the future; master falconers may have 5 wild raptors (3 of which may be Golden Eagles) and unlimited captive-bred raptors (excluding eagles) if used for falconry; the feds will no longer be responsible for issuing permits for Golden Eagles — they will be viewed like other raptors.
