volcano — not falconry

There is an amazing series of photographs of Anak Krakatoa taken by Dr. Marco Fulle, an Italian astronomer and volcano expert, on the Telegraph.co.uk website. This volcano rising out of the narrow Sunda Strait separating Sumatra and Java is the “child of” (anak) Krakatoa, the volcano that blew its top in 1883 and killed 36, 000 people. Anak Krakatoa emerged from the sea in 1927 and has been spewing lava and erupting since 2007.
